MSC 6
Morzine, France

Description

We like to call this our ‘chocolate box’ chalet! This quaint turn, luxury modern French chalet has been refurbished beautifully in 2015. It consists of 2x large family bedrooms plus mezzanine, comfortably sleeping 8. The chalet located just steps from the ski bus stop and only a short stroll (via a private path) to the centre of Morzine village.

The chalet itself is very traditional in style with a luxury modern refurbishment, built in classic pine and oozing warmth and cosiness the minute you set foot through the door. It is ideal for families or groups, downstairs it has a large family room with an en-suite shower (consisting of twin or double and bunk beds) and upstairs there is a double room with access to a mezzanine twin room and a bathroom. Comfortably sleeping 8.

This really 'beautiful and cosy' self catered chalet has a spacious kitchen and dining/lounge room on the first floor (entrance level) with a fantastic log burner. Outside there is an extensive garden and parking at the door. There are amazing views as it perches above Morzine and looks up to Avoriaz, yet it is only a short stroll into town.

Chalet Mimi has great facilities, fully equipped, Wifi, smart TV with UK and French channels and secure storage for skis.

Chalet Mimi starts from £800 for the whole chalet per week.

FANTASTIC LOCATION, SUBERB CHALET

We loved the location of chalet Mimi. With the ski bus stopping outside the front door, access to the slopes couldn't have been easier and the centre of Morzine is juts a short stroll down the hill. The view from the lounge was amazing. The chalet was beautiful, fully equipped with comfy furnishings.

Just the perfect Christmas skiing break

Booked Chalet Mimi for our first ever visit to Morzine and our first ever skiing holiday! Situated on the A bus route it was very easy to get in and out of the town, about a 5 min ride from the centre (by the Tourist Information) bus stopped directly outside of the Chalet which was perfect, especially if wearing ski boots. Chalet was in lovely condition, front door opens into a modern bright kitchen, equipped for all our needs, we chose the meal delivery option which worked out really well, arrived home each day to a 'goodie box' of food, requiring no more than 20 minutes of cooking. Staircase lead off the kitchen, upstairs to 2 double bedrooms with very comfortable beds and modern clean bathrooms all decorated very nicely. We paid extra to have master suite opened up as we were two families. Views from bedroom with balcony (master suite?) of the Pléney lift going up and down were great along with watching the A bus each morning carrying its load of skiers who all managed an early start, baffled me as we were more mid morning people due to the kids!. Stairs lead down to a lovey bedroom holding 2 single beds and a bunk bed and en suite shower room, once again modern, clean and nicely decorated. The boot room is downstairs also with washing machine in there. Nice size lounge with big corner sofa and a really lovely huge dining table and 2 benches, held 10 of us easily. Views over the town are great especially at night with twinkling lights. Walk to the down is just out of the chalet turn right and down the steps by the bus stop, keep going downhill till you hit the edge of town. Obviously bit more tiring uphill but as a 60 year old woman I found myself only slightly breathless after walking slowly back up, very doable and enjoyable. The Town is great, loved it, shops, bars and restaurants galore. Not to mention an arrray of ski hire and ski school shops. We used Gravier ski hire, wonderful Monsieur Gravier and his staff are just the best, just a few yards from the Pléney lift. Nice swimming pool in the town which was warmly welcomed by my limbs! Chalet company were very helpful through entire booking process and check-in and responded very quickly to queries throughout our stay. Would highly recommend them and would definitely use again.

Outstanding

As soon as I arrived I was blown away by the chalet and the views it offered over Morzine, with it only a short but steep walk out of the bottom of Morzine there was no issue getting around town. Everything within the chalet was stunning and enable my friends and I to have a brilliant two weeks stay.
