Booking Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All bookings made directly with MSC Promotions Limited (Company no. NI608566) having its registered office at Wallace & Co. Chartered Accountants, 146 High Street, Holywood, BT18 9HS trading as Morzine Ski Chalets ("MSC", "we" or "us") or through a
third party are subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. In these terms and conditions references to "the client", "guest", "you" and "your" include the first named person on
the booking and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made or any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that:
 he/she has read these terms and conditions and has the authority to and does
agree to be bound by them;
 he/she consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
he/she is over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions declares that he/she and all members of the party are of an appropriate age to purchase those services.
Contract
No contract shall exist between the client or persons on whose behalf the booking is made and MSC until a deposit or full payment has been received.
Receipt of payment shall imply your full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. This documentation should be carefully
checked prior to booking/payment.
Should you require any alterations to these terms they must be proposed, agreed and counter signed 2 weeks before your date of travel and prior to receipt of your full payment.
Payment
Accommodation Payments
A deposit of 25% is required in order to secure your booking, this is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The remaining full balance of your accommodation costs (including the security deposit) must be paid no later than eight weeks prior to the agreed date of your arrival. For bookings made within eight weeks of the agreed date of your arrival, the full accommodation cost is required to be paid at the time of booking.
Security Deposit Payments
A security deposit of a minimum of £200 is payable for all properties. Any loss or damage the property incurs during your stay will be deducted from your security deposit. Should the loss or damage exceed the value of your security deposit MSC reserves the right to charge you for the excess. Please notify MSC's staff as soon as possible in the event of any loss or damage.
Breach of any of the Terms & Conditions may jeopardize the return of your full security deposit.
Methods of Payment
£GBP
- We accept payment by debit card or bank transfer (contact gemma@morzineskichalets.com for details).
€EUR
- We accept payment by debit card or bank transfer (contact gemma@morzineskichalets.com for details).
If payment is completed by bank card you agree not to authorize a 'chargeback' through the
client's bank in the event you cancel the booking or are unable to travel.
Our Right To Cancel
If payment is not received in full, on time, we reserve the right to cancel your accommodation booking.
Your Right To Cancel
Any cancellation must be made in writing to MSC(gemma@morzineskichalets.com) no later than eight weeks prior to arrival date. Deposits are non-refundable, however, cancellations made in writing in excess of eight weeks prior to the arrival date will have the accommodation cost less deposit refunded. Any cancellations made less than eight weeks from the arrival date will not be refunded.
Insurance
Clients of MSC must have adequate insurance from a reputable provider before booking to cover the usual risks associated with your trip including:
 Emergency medical expenses including mountain rescue, ambulance charges and repatriation;
 Cancellation or curtailment of your trip;
 Personal liability to include damage caused by your negligence to the property in which you are staying and may not include a clause which restricts actions being taken against a travelling companion other than family;
 Transfer and travel delays which must include additional costs incurred in the event of a delay beyond your or our control;
 The activities you are likely to do including off-piste skiing with or without a guide
MSC is unable to accept responsibility for any costs you or anyone in your party may incur as a result of failing to take out adequate insurance cover.
Arrival/departure
Check in time on arrival is 5pm. Check out time on the day of departure is 9am. Should you wish to arrange alternative check in/out times we will endeavor to facilitate this but we will require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice and asurcharge may be incurred.
Airport transfers
Transfers may be shared with other passengers. Morzine Ski Chalet's clients will receive priority service and our staff will endeavor to reduce waiting times in event of delays. (Please note that there could be up to an hour wait in the event of flight arrivals/delays). If you wish to have exclusive transfers, please contact us (this may incur a surcharge). In event of your flight
being delayed, please try to notify us as soon as possible. Morzine Ski Chalets may need to place you on the next available transfer if the flight is delayed over 1 hour. It is each guest/client's responsibility to notify Morzine Ski Chalets if any children travelling require a child/baby seat or booster.
Smoking
All properties/buildings are nonsmoking.
3rd parties
MSC is not responsible for any misunderstandings, damage/loss/theft of equipment or personal belongings between our guests and third parties.
Cleaning 
The property should be left in a state of cleanliness equal to when the rental period began. Failure to do so will mean a cleaning charge being deducted from your security deposit - (the cost to us of getting local cleaners in at short notice and having to delay the check-in time for in-coming guests). Alternatively, we offer the option of a cleaning service €75 payable to a MSC staff member at the end of your stay.
Winter
In-Resort ski transfers (Narnia, Chantelle and Sosa only)
MSC provides a ski shuttle service for guests in Chalet Narnia, Chalet Sosa and Chalet Chantelle of a chauffeured mini-bus delivering them to the ski lifts at additional cost and in-advance booking. This service will only be available on days subject to vehicle availability and not when vehicles are servicing changover days.
Ski Hosting
MSC's staff are neither insured nor qualified to instruct or guide. If you/your party ski with an employee or representative of MSC, MSC will not take responsibility for any injuries which may occur. At all times clients must use their own judgment, ski within their own ability and at their own risk. We accept no liability should you choose to ignore this request.
Summer
Bike Storage
Bikes are not allowed in any properties except for garages therein. Where bike storage facilities are provided we cannot guarantee the safety of guests bikes nor accept responsibility for any loss/damage/theft.
Chalet Extras
Charcoal for BBQ'sand wood for fires will be supplied on guest's arrival, refills during your stay are at guests own cost.
For those staying in Chalet Narnia, Chalet Sosa and Chalet Chantelle there is a hot tub service charge of €95 per week.
Complaints
Please notify a member of Morzine Ski Chalet staff as soon as possible in event of a complaint so we can endeavor to rectify the problem as early as possible. You will receive a 'feedback form' toward the end of your stay and we would encourage you to put down any constructive criticism. Any complaints received after the stay should be directed to the admin office -

Liability
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these terms and conditions, MSC will not be liable to pay you compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which we or the supplier of the service in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. These events can include, but are not limited to, failure of mechanical and electrical equipment,
acts of God, war, threat of war, terrorist activity or the threat of such activity, civil disturbance, acts of government or other national or local authority, strikes, industrial action or disruption, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster, adverse weather conditions, restrictions caused by a pandemic, plague or disease and all similar events. Should any of
these occur MSC will not be liable for any costs incurred. Any help or assistance of any kind volunteered by MSC's employees shall be accepted at the clients risk.
Covid19
Provided that MSC's property is "open for business", then MSC does not accept any liability or responsibility and WILL NOT issue refunds, credit vouchers, or pay any other compensation in the event that you:
- Cancel your holiday or decide not to travel because of restrictions or advice related to Covid19. This includes, but is not limited to you being unable to travel because of restrictions imposed on you by your government/health authorities or travel provider due to COVID 19 or disinclination to travel.
- Showing symptoms and self-isolating before travelling due to COVID 19.
If MSC is unable to perform its contractual obligations, because of business closure, resort closure or travel restrictions imposed by French authorities as a result of COVID 19, then a CREDIT VOUCHER to the value of 75% of your holiday will be issued. This voucher will be valid for 12months from the arrival date of your cancelled holiday. No other compensation or refund will be paid.
If you cancel your booking due to being required to quarantine upon arrival in France or upon
return to your outbound destination your full payment will be non-refundable. No other compensation or refund will be paid.
If you develop symptoms of COVID 19 whilst in Morzine and decide to self-isolate, MSC does not accept liability or responsibility to provide you with accommodation beyond your contracted holiday dates.
Other
All clients/guests agree not to behave in such a way as to cause distress, damage, danger or injury to other clients, property, our employees, third parties or the company name. The company will be entitled to recover the full cost of any damages caused by the client. The company will not accept responsibility for the actions of its clients, or any claims made against
them. The contract of any client, in breach of this clause, shall be terminated forthwith with no
further contractual obligations on the part of MSC. MSC endeavours to ensure that the information contained on its website or in its brochure is accurate. While accurate at the time of publication, information may be subject to change.
Clients will be informed of any changes as soon as reasonably practicable. The photographs featured on the website are to give a general impression, not precise detail. MSC cannot guarantee that weather and snow conditions will be suitable for snow sports and other activities. MSC shall not be held responsible for any loss, delay or costs whatsoever connected with
adverse weather conditions. These booking conditions and any matters arising from them are exclusively governed in all
respects by Northern Irish law. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises between us out of or in connection with your contract or booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Northern Ireland.
